After the summer months of increased exposure to sun, wind, and sand, most of us will have a build-up of dead skin cells on the surface of our skin. Those dead cells will make our skin look dry and dull… hardly the fresh, glowing skin we all want. There’s an easy and inexpensive fix for this, with no downtime: Microdermabrasion.
Microdermabrasion is a relaxing facial procedure during which the outermost layers of the skin are exfoliated using crystals to remove dead skin cells. The strength of the crystals can be increased or decreased for your comfort. As those dead cells are removed, production of new cells in the deepest layers of the skin begins, and collagen production is stimulated. The result is a more even skin texture, and a reduction in fine lines and scarring.

While the sensation of the crystals on your skin is stronger than what you might be used to with a washcloth or a loofah, it is a very relaxing procedure. As you feel the crystals slough off the old skin cells, you will feel refreshed, renewed, and invigorated.
Ideally, you should receive a Microdermabrasion treatment every two weeks in order to continue the stimulation of new skin cells and maintain that fresh glow to your skin. If your skin has deeper lines or scars, you may consider a deeper, more intense renewal of your skin… a total reset with CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing, Erbium Peel, Hybrid Peel, Intense Pulse Light (IPL) Therapy, or Microneedling!
